Volume 8, Issue 19 - January 24, 2011This Week's Message
This Week's Message
Normally faculty development activities are provided by Academic Affairs and the Center for Teaching & Learning, with the former focusing more on professional development and the latter on, well, teaching and learning! But for this week's Friday Conversation, ACTL has put together a distinguished panel of our colleagues to discuss
"Writing a Successful Grant Proposal"
Nathan Franks from Physics, David Snowball from Communication Studies, Pam Trotter from Chemistry and Kathy Meier, Assistant Director of Grants and Corporate Relations, will be on hand to share their experiences, offer advice and answer questions you may have. We'll discuss
- identifying appropriate internal and external funding sources
- writing a successful grant proposal
- gathering internal support
- monitoring and follow-up for a successful grant proposal
While the session is being organized by ACTL, the usual refreshments will be provided by Academic Affairs!
I hope you can join us.
