ACTL

Greetings from the Center for Teaching & Learning.

In coordination with the Student Ratings Supervisory Committee  (pg 12) ACTL will be piloting a new instrument for student rating of instructors this spring. A call will go out soon, asking for volunteers, but I wanted to give interested parties a chance to take a look at their leisure.

The SRI instrument we will be piloting is provided by The IDEA Center, a non-profit organization which offers evaluation tools for individual instructors, departments and administrators. ACTL and the SRSC see several advantages to adopting this system. According to their website the IDEA Center's SRI

These are but a few of the advantages we see, but I encourage you to take a look for yourself. And watch for the call for volunteers, coming soon!
