Civic Engagement as Senior Inquiry
The Kemper Reflective Leader Internship Program
Thursday, October 23
3:30-6:00

As we work toward providing each of our students with a Senior Inquiry experience, one option that we might consider is a civic engagement project. Such projects are based upon the principles of social action research that requires students to thoroughly research a contemporary issue, work in an organization that addresses that issue, and reflect upon themselves and their responsibilities and obligations to society.

This session will discuss the philosophy and structure of the Kemper Internship program, and present the final reports of the interns. It is for faculty interested in service learning, and students interested in such internships.
