CALL FOR SPRING TERM FACULTY FOR CLASSROOM OBSERVATION GROUPS

Faculty are invited to participate in the Classroom Observation Group Program for the spring term 2008-2009.  We had six observation groups running during the winter term and they found the experience to be extremely rewarding and beneficial.

The goal of the program is to encourage small groups of faculty to observe and talk about their teaching across campus.  Groups also use sessions to talk through new course preps, planning learning outcomes and assessment of those outcomes, general topics on teaching pedagogy and the like.

In short:

If you are interested in participating, please provide the following information so that we can facilitate the groups.

If you have any questions about the program, please do not hesitate to contact Mike Green directly.

Our Lutheran Affiliation: What does it Mean?  And..... The Role of the Center for Vocational Reflection at the College.  February 4 [Wilson - 3:45 pm] and 5 [Old Main 128 - 10:30 am]:  Richard Priggie, campus chaplain, will talk about how we view our Lutheran affiliation, what it means for our students and campus community.  He will also talk about the services that Campus Ministries offers to the life of the college.  Bob Haak, Director of the Center for Vocational Reflection, will join us to talk about the mission and goals of the CVR and how this might be of interest to faculty.
