The Office of Academic Affairs coordinates the academic program at Augustana College. The office is committed to advancing the college's mission by supporting faculty in their work and providing an outstanding education for students.
Academic Affairs works with Augustana's 30 academic departments as well as the Office of the Registrar, CORE (Careers, Opportunities, Research and Exploration), the Augustana Center for Faculty Enrichment, the Institutional Research and Assessment Office.
The office's responsibilities include faculty hiring and reappointment, faculty development, assessment, accreditation, and budgeting, as well as coordination of our general education curriculum and academic advising. Finally, Academic Affairs serves as a liaison to the faculty governance structure at the college in cooperation with the Faculty Council and several college committees.
