Guitar lessons at Augustana

Instructor Randy Pobanz offers individual guitar lessons every term, open to all students regardless of major.

Students must have their own instrument and there are a limited number of guitars for rent at a local music shop. He can assist with the rental process if needed.

Students will learn to develop appropriate technique and learn to read music. Scales and chords are also studied along with other technique building exercises.

Registration is for MULS 100-400-GTR and is done through Arches. Students who enroll for one credit have a 30-minute lesson, one day per week and for two credits a one-hour lesson, one day per week.

Lesson times are arranged according to the student's schedule. Lessons are at the music annex, is 3816 6th Ave., Rock Island. It is on the corner of 6th Avenue and the alley behind Sorensen Hall. Lessons do not cause an overload of credits.
