The season finale features everyone’s favorite Russian master of melodies – Tchaikovsky. Opening gently with the rich orchestral colors of the famous Waltz from Swan Lake, the QCSO then welcomes a 2017 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition Medalist to present Tchaikovsky’s heroic tour de force, the Piano Concerto No. 1. The 103rd season concludes with the bold, victorious, and breathtaking Symphony No. 5.
