Building a Portfolio Website

The Web Guild will offer a workshop on basic portfolio website design and development designed to teach beginners some of the basic tools needed to create or edit web pages.

Skills in planning, designing, and building a portfolio website are in high demand, and even if you do not plan to go into a career in web design, a basic understanding of how to maintain a website can be the edge that puts you ahead in the job market. Additionally, a link to a personal website looks great on a resume, and you would be able to leave this workshop with the framework for the beginnings of your own site.

The following topics will be covered:

  • Web Content Design

  • Introduction to Photoshop
  • Using a Visual Editor (Adobe Dreamweaver)
