The Salon: Forrest Stonedahl and “Originalgorithms”

The Salon is a weekly gathering of students, faculty, staff, and administrators from across campus each Thursday in the Brew from 11:30 a.m.-12:20 p.m.

It is a time and place for discussion of interdisciplinary ideas and shared experiences; everyone is welcome to participate!

The theme for this term is the question: Is there anything new under (or beyond) the sun?

This week, the discussion leader will be Forrest Stonedahl from computer science. He will talk about Originalgorithms: "originality, creativity, randomness and whether such processes can be formalized (e.g., in a computer, or otherwise)."
