Life after Augie: Melinda Pavek '92 on international employment

Melinda Pavek '92 will speak about on international employment and the preparation of a liberal arts education. She is a foreign service officer with the State Department's Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs.

She is currently in intensive Japanese language training to prepare for her next assignment as the Environment, Science, Technology and Health Unit Chief in the Economic Section of U.S. Embassy Tokyo. 

Pavek majored in political science, economics and Asian studies at Augustana, then earned a master’s in business administration from the University of Minnesota.
