The Ethics of Gene Editing

Dr. Gayle E. Woloschak, professor of radiation oncology and radiology at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, will address ethical issues related to gene editing. 

Dr. Woloschak’s research is focused on radiobiology and bionanotechnology. She is affiliated with the Center for Genetic Medicine, the Skin Disease Research Center, and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, all at Northwestern University.

An active member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, she has served on numerous church boards and commissions. She is the associate director of the Zygon Center for Religion and Science.

Her talk is sponsored by the Augustana Center for the Study of Ethics and the Augustana Institute for Leadership and Service.
