The Drowsy Chaperone

Winner of five Tony Awards, "The Drowsy Chaperone" is a a parody of American musical comedy of the 1920s.

The story concerns a middle-aged, asocial musical theatre fan; as he plays the record of his favorite musical, the (fictional) 1928 hit "The Drowsy Chaperone," the show comes to life onstage as he comments on the music, story, and actors. (Wikipedia)

The show will be directed by Shelley Cooper, assistant professor of theatre arts, and Michelle Crouch, assistant professor of music.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. April 27-28 and May 4-5, and at 1:30 p.m. April 29 and May 6.
