| HISTORICAL NOTE |
| The Vagina Monologues is a play written by Eve Ensler and is part of a global movement called V-Day to raise awareness and prevent violence against women. The suggested donations from the college's production of the play benefit the Family Resource Center of the Quad Cities. Augustana College began performing the Monologues in the 2003-2004 academic year and has performed the show annually each February since. The theatre group Alpha Psi Omega sponsors the event. |

| SCOPE AND CONTENT |
The collection contains 2 series: Correspondence and Publicity.
The Correspondence series (2003-2004) contains printed emails between Vagina Monologues organizers, cast members and sponsors as well as campus-wide emails and student reactions. Also included is correspondence between Special Collections staff and cast about archiving the event's materials.
The Publicity series (2004) contains flyers and other handouts advertising the event.
