CUSTODIAL HISTORY

The materials were donated to Special Collections in 2010 by Ly Pham, an exchange student from Hanoi, Vietnam and member of the club.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

The Asian Student Organization is an Augustana College student group. Founded in 1995, the purpose of the group is to promote interest in Asian culture among students. Club activities include screenings of foreign films and television shows, tea ceremony demonstrations, sampling Asian food, guest speakers, and Asian Night. Since at least 2003, the group has met in the Asian Pagoda House near the library.

 

SCOPE AND CONTENT

The collection consists of one undated color photograph of group members, one 2006/2007 school year scrapbook with pictures of club events, and one photo album from the 1990s with candid shots of group events.

 

SYSTEM OF ARRANGEMENT

The Asian Student Organization collection consists of one series, Photographs and Scrapbooks.
